L'Armagnac du Centenaire
Château du Tariquet Armagnac du Centenaire "limited edition" (2012)
Grape variety: Ugni blanc, Baco, Folle Blanche and Plant de Graisse
Tasting notes A careful selection has been made from the 4,500 casks of Bas-Armagnac stored in the cellars of Château du Tariquet... Eaux-de-Vie aged between 10 and 30 years have been made into a cuvée with an average age of 20 years. Ugni blanc brings freshness and real finesse, while Baco brings power, fire and robustness. These two main grapes are accompanied by Folle Blanche, a rare, delicate variety that produces elegant, wonderfully fragrant Armagnacs. The final blend, meant to remain secret, is "seasoned" a little extra with a small percentage of Plant de Graisse.
In Gascony, between the Pyrenees and the Atlantic, there is a unique place. A place where wine has its origins: the Domaine Tariquet.
The potential of this exceptional winery, family-run since 1912, has been increased with each generation: first they produced various great Bas-Armagnacs, then they planted unusual grape varieties and created surprising white wines.
The main goal has always been to respect nature and produce authentic and quality products.
The Domaine Tariquet has been known for its high-quality Armagnacs - after all, the oldest French spirit - since 1912. These are stored and matured in the domaine's wine cellars and are also bottled there.
The family property with 100% own vineyards stands for the complete processing of the wine, distillation, storage and enveloping. The Domaine Tariquet thus guarantees the authenticity and absolute quality of its products.
